My University Experience

I am currently in the 6th sem and Currently doing My Degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Raajdhani Engineering College, Bhubaneswar. Due to covid and lockdown, two years of our college life were waisted, But in The 1st year I went to college and I am sharing that Experience. Since childhood, I thought of doing MBBS but during my 11th & 12th, I decided to do Engineering. As every Indian student, I also aspired to get into IIT. But I did not do any hard work at all to get there 😅, Never mind I was lucky enough to pass the 12th board and get into an engineering college.

I thought finally I am in college and thought of Bollywood college scenes 😂, I decided to bunk a lot of classes(That I used to do in 12th 😅) but it was totally different. As we were freshmen every other senior, as well as teachers, were intimidating us in their own ways. Only this thing is like seen in the movies. But to my misery, it was just like school. It has a timetable from 9-5 with just a 1-hour lunch break. We couldn’t bunk classes and if seen we were scolded and punished. As I had a habit of bunking classes, Just after some days in college I decided to bunk a class, but just when I was in the hallway, there was another boy who was bunking classes I guess, he was tasking his bag with him, but I guess he had bad luck, our principal was visiting the classes right then and he was caught. He did not even wear his uniform. He was bashed by the principal. Thanks fully I was not taking my bag, I just slipped into the toilet and then directly ran back to my class😅.

Then comes the Freshers party, I was eagerly waiting for it😁. So the day came and Like everyone I just wanted to be Mr. Fresher. After answering some questions I was asked to propose to any senior while singing a song, I did my best not to humiliate myself and I did pretty well. (I forgot to tell you that I am an Introvert!!!!). I was proud of myself, and I think I did the best for the whole class, but I didn’t get the Mr. Freshers, I was sad 😅. Then we danced to different songs, But there were soft drinks on the floor so I accidentally fell, and some of my friends thought I was doing Nagin dance.

And then soon it was January and the time for Annual sports. Our 1st year CSE branch made our jersey for all the boys just for fun. I was not that athletic so I decide to participate in games that require less energy. I participated in NFS most wanted, Roadies, and badminton(I just like it 😅). In the pc games, I got till the 3rd round only, There was pubg as well but I did not like it then so did not participate. In badminton, I was not lucky and lost in the first round. Then comes roadies. I was not selected for the latter rounds, But they asked me some questions and then they made me do push-ups (that I could not do more than 3😅), Then again they make me propose to a senior😅. But this time I really had a crush on her 😅, and I did propose to her by singing a song. It was fun.

Then we had our Annual function after some 20 days. It was a two-day event. On the first day, everything went smoothly but on the 2nd day, our seniors of the different branches had some argument there was a pretty bad fight so the shows stopped there and that's it. Then soon we had lockdown because of Covid and everything became online. We could not properly enjoy College life.

But now after two years we are the seniors in our college and we will be the organizers of our College events, So stay tuned I will update you after the events.
